The adventures of Mikuru Asahina episode 00 and live alive both carry on from the previous arc, sigh, despite in the books not showing up until the 6th book ‘The Wavering of Haruhi suzumiya’, sigh being the second.

The adventures of Mikuru Asahina episode 00 is the title of the movie made in sigh. The story is a screening of the movie and is in much worse quality compared to rest of the series mimicking the brigade equipment used.

The episode has a poorly written story scripted by Haruhi which changes genres several times and often is illogical and riddled with plotholes. The episode is narrated by Kyon who throughout, makes fun of and points out its mistakes.

The movie also contains advertisement for the stores where Haruhi receive the camera and props in sigh. The film ends with haruhi giving a disclaimer that the events of the film are false which she was convinced to make by Kyon after he was told by Koizumi it would be a good idea to make sure Haruhi didn’t bring anything else from the movie to real life.

Live alive takes place during the school festival that the movie was made for. We see the confused reaction of the people at the screening, then the brigade split up and we follow Kyon browsing the festival.

Kyon visits Asahinas classroom café as well as picking up ore food, sees Nagato fortune-telling for her class and finally watches Koizumis class play in the auditorium where he settles watching other performances until Haruhi comes on.

Surprising Kyon, Haruhi and Nagato come on stage in a band who we find outs members were injured. They end up being great selling lots of the bands CDs and having the band very grateful, inviting them to their next concert.
